They suspended my account decause I hadn't signed some agreement 3 months ago when I renewed my subscription.

So, 2.9.3 is still working

Do you find your version of CSI stable ? I havn't upgraded for 2 years because of the initial problems they had with 2.10.

Very poor that there is no weekend support, or CSI forum.

I use the TB simulation as a reasonable approximation.

Only use order generation if fill was late/early, or to compensate for human errors in the course of trading.

You can then re-bias your equity every 1/3/6 months to correct for any drift using some of the Equity Add/Remove custom blox posted ...

I use a fixed date roll, & have rolled every 2 months so far.

I'm only running a very cautious system, with fairly low risk, so my system asked for only 1 contract. Hopefully liquidity shouldn't be a prob. at this level.

Broker advised against it.

Got similar data in CSI,

I was stopped out of a short @ 72.950, which was roughly where my stop was (thankfully)

Yup,

I've seen similar things - if you "optimise" one or two parameters at a time, (e.g. entry conditions, then portfolio filters, then exits) the system can get quite highly tuned to selection you've already made.

Then when you revisit the earlier parameters, you find them much more sensitive.

I think if you're trading short term futures contracts with expiry typically a few weeks/months away, it would be VERY hard to convince the revenue that this is investing. Also, you cannot by definition "invest" in rubber, gold, soybeans, oil, IRD's etc. You can only "invest" in company shares ...

As I said, its your MAIN source of income which counts.

Spreadbetting (if successful) would still be your MAIN source of income, so would be treated as a job, and hence taxable.
