The Mission

Trading Blox™ is a software platform on which you can run Commercial Systems, public domain systems, or develop your own system. It will help you backtest the system through a comprehensive set of simulations, including stepping the start date and duration of the test, changing the portfolio composition, commission/slippage/equity considerations, and any other user adjustable parameters your system contains.

Our Trading Blox™ software allows you to thoroughly examine the performance of trading systems under a variety of different market conditions so you can better understand the performance characteristics of a trading system before you begin trading. The end result is a Robust system, with which you can have confidence!

If the system is Robust, the simulation results will reflect this. These good results will also give you the confidence to consistently apply the rules of your automated strategy during adverse market conditions. If your system is not Robust, you have the opportunity to improve it before putting your money on the line.

Our Approach

We do not sell trading systems. None of our principals has an interest in the sale of any trading system or methodology. Further, the Trading Blox™ testing output is sufficiently detailed that you can completely verify any of the results. This makes us the authoritative source for unbiased testing results.

We follow a four-part philosophy for automated trading strategy testing:

Real-World Simulation - all tests are run using only the information that would be available to an actual trader. The testing should account for each of factors that affect real-world performance.

Flexible Parameters - all of the computational components of a trading strategy are rigorously tested across many different values to ensure that the test results do not reflect curve fitting.

Verification Tools - all tests include sufficient detail to enable the trader to independently verify the validity of the testing harness and the simulated trading results.

Independent Validation - whenever possible the designers and originators of the trading system are be given adequate opportunity to review the work of the simulation programmers to ensure that the test reflects the system as designed.
